The start of the inaugural Rotary Great Western 10K Run in 2011
The Rotary Great Western 10K Run has moved back to its traditional Sunday morning slot for 2012.
After over a decade at Sherborne Castle the Rotary Great Western 10K Run changed its venue and event day in 2011. Now after a successful inaugural run the event continues at Leweston this year but is back in its greatly favoured Sunday morning slot.
The new course proved hugely popular last year so apart from a few tweaks it has
remained virtually unchanged for this year. The changes of terrain, the varied scenery

The Rotary Great Western 10K Run is organised by the Rotary Club of Sherborne Castles in partnership with the Yeovil Town Road Running Club and takes place on Sunday 11th March 2012. The race commences at 11:00 am with a 2K Fun Run taking place on the Orchard course immediately afterwards.
Entries for the Rotary Great Western 10K Run can be made online, by post or on the day. 'Free Entry' is available online for charity fundraising entries.

The Rotary Great Western Countryside Challenge is organised by the Rotary Club of Sherborne Castles in partnership with the Gillingham Trotters running Club and will take place in October with the races commencing at 10:00 am.
All proceeds of this event will be donated to international charities nominated by the Rotary Club of Sherborne Castles and Leweston School.
